We are excited to welcome you to the 22nd International Vasculitis Workshop in Melbourne, Australia from February 21st to 25th 2026, organised by the Australia and New Zealand Vasculitis Society (ANZVASC).

From the Workshop’s origins in the late 1980s as a forum to discuss autoantibodies (ANCA), the International Vasculitis Workshop has evolved to be the key vasculitis meeting, covering advances in research and care not only in ANCA-associated vasculitis, but in all types of vasculitis.

The Workshop gathers leading experts, researchers, healthcare professionals and the community from around the world to share the latest discoveries and to discuss the state of the art of care and research in vasculitis. The interactive and multidisciplinary nature of the Workshop makes it a unique learning and social experience.

This is the first Workshop in the Southern Hemisphere and only the second outside of Europe and North America. It is a great chance to further internationalise vasculitis, with collaborative input from the dynamic and hugely successful vasculitis centres in Europe and North America, as well as key and emerging units from countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Melbourne is a great city to visit. The Workshop venue is close to the city on the banks of the Yarra River. There are excellent opportunities to extend your visit in Melbourne and surrounds, to Victoria, to other parts of Australia, and to New Zealand.

The organisers have decided that the Workshop should be as environmentally sustainable as possible, both locally at the Workshop and in travel to and from Melbourne.

The organising and program committees are working hard to provide an inspiring and unmissable research, education, networking and social experience for anyone interested in vasculitis. Please join us in our mission to improve the lives of people affected by vasculitis. We are anticipating a large turnout and enthusiastic participation from around the world. We encourage you to attend and contribute to the Vasculitis Community’s most important international event.

We look forward to hosting you in Melbourne for the Workshop and its associated events during our summer in 2026!

Yours sincerely,
Prof Richard Kitching, Prof Catherine Hill and Dr Vicki Quincey
